Chapter 24: Prahallada and poisonous snakes

A letter goes to Prahallada to be delivered to his the then informed new-found brother at Kamroop. He is overjoyed to meet his bro. He sets off. The letter tells Ahlad to kill Prahallada.

Lakshmi is tense. Vishnu keeps saying the ‘romanticity’ of the story and that why worry when ‘Main hoon na!’

Prahallada takes the letter to Ahlad. A & P are happy to be together again. P gives A the letter. It informs A that P has to be put in a dungeon full of snakes because he is a Vishnu-devotee. So A does so. P is thrown into a room full of poisonous snakes. But, unfazed, P prays for Vishnu, who, as always, saves him. P goes out of the dungeon untouched.

But some snakes come out of the dungeon and kill mercilessly the bad. One snake even bites A. P is much distressed. He cries and prays to Vishnu to give his newly-found bro’s life back. Vishnu, out of sympathy, provides life back to A and P is happy.

News travel to HK’s sis. Whole kin visits A and upon seeing him alive and kicking, are happy too. A changes his status quo from Vishnu-hater to Vishnu-lover and joins hands with P. Mom’s dramatics and HK’s ire.
