Ravana is now ready to conquer manav lok, but his guru says Viswamithra in association with other Rishis are still conducting yagnas against the previous order and that too yagna for the downfall of Ravana, by inventing something new. Rishi also says Rama of D’s son could cause trouble to Ravana, who laughs it away and informs Meghnath to check upon Viswamithra who finds out that V & Co are inventing a cloud, bow and arrow through yagna which would bring “fire rain” if stricken with arrow.
Much distressed about the progress of Viswamithra and his research, Ravana seeks the help of his ‘maamashri’ (uncle) Marichi to help him. Marichi has Shubau (?) and Tarkal(?) with him and the 3 of them decided that they impure the place of yagna so that yagna cannot be conducted. Hence they spill blood and bones stuff on yagna so that yagna gets stopped. Like this, to each pure place V & Co go & do yagna, M & Co make it impure.
