P is enraged. He searches and kills each of the 4 sons individually even though they are sent to 4 different safe-houses, and sends their 4 heads to S to see, who breaks down, recovers back to declares war. Before that, J even shows the 4 heads to Renuka. After giving some advice to P, Renuka passes away peacefully too. P is devastated. Now he is all alone, although he has 4 brothers to help him wage war against S. At the battlefield, P gives one more chance to S to save himself from death and ask for forgiveness from sages and leave Brahmins alone. But S scoffs. So be it, P decides and battle begins.
Apparently, it looks as one man P versus one full S army. But it is not so. Each squadron of S’s army is made to follow a P look-alike into the woods wherein all the ashram pupils wage a successful battle and finally when all squadrons are led to the woods unsuspectingly (reaching where they are found to their astonishment the full strength of P’s army, only to be humbled), only S is left, when P himself faces him, fights him and kills him. P had vowed to drink Kshatriya's blood when he comes to know of his kin’s massacre. So, now he fills a small pond called Saryanavath with S’s blood and drinks it from there, exacting complete revenge.
Vishnu meanwhile muses on how man becomes a victim of circumstances. He was born for the first time as a human being and to such a scholar and could have become easily a philosopher instead became a soldier with only one mission to kill. But Lakshmi consoles him that He is still a protector and He was still doing his duty as a protector by killing bad people. Vishnu is happy about it.
