At one point of time, Ravana had jailed Kaala (God of Death/Time). He now approaches him, who is laughing at Ravana. Kaala says that by capturing Sita, Ravana has scripted his own Death. Ravana laughs away. He is the one who captured Time. There can be no death to him. But Kaala laughs at this. He infuriates Ravana and hits him. Kaala laughs away.
Mandodhari enters then. She says she believed Sun will use his power, that mountains will become less foreboding and sea would lose its camness but never that Ravana would punish a chained man and would kidnap a helpless married woman. Ravana says, to kill Rama, one who had pained Shurpanakhi, he can do anything. Mandodhari asks what is the real reason? Is it the beauty of Sita and revenge of his humiliation at Swayamvara?
Ravana laughs and says “Don’t worry, she is not gonna take your position away”. M says she is not worried about losing her position. Rather she is afraid of losing him, as Brahma had not given the vow of “No death from Man” to Ravana. Ravana belittles the vow and Brahma Himself and goes away. Kaala pities mandodhari, a devoted wife, and M pities Sita, a devoted wife.
Dharthi Maa informs that chal (spite), hut (arrogance), sometimes looks as if its winning, and is victorious (as Ravana’s feelings now), but in reality, it is the way for their own sarvanash (Destruction).
Ravana’s mom calls for Vibhushan. She is concerned about Ravana’s doings. Vib is asked to talk to him. He politely refuses saying how can he convince Ravana, when Ravana disobeys his own mother and guru (mom). Mom says she has never disapproved of Ravana’s doings, but this time feels insecure. Vib says her never disapproving Ravana’s doings has made him this way. The path shown by a guru should be towards kalyan and not sarvanash. Mom realizes that she has never been a good mom nor a good guru to Ravana and repents herself and cries.
