Brahma is busy in writing the Fate of yet-to-be-born Rama. Vishnu doesnt see wife Lakshmi beside him. Says he is enchanted and engrossed in his own Fate being written. Finally he said its time for him to leave to manav loka. “What about me?” wails Lakshmi. V assures the time for union is not afar.
Vishnu leaves to ‘maanavloka’. He is met by Narada (who says I will wait for you in maanav loka), Brahma (“Miss you buddy!”), Indira and Co (“We will also come to maanav loka.”), Shiva (“How shall I also come?” to which Vishnu replies “As a monkey, to which I shall come for help”) and Saptarishis.
He arrives near Kausalya and says “You are the first woman (Shatrupa), Dasharath is the first man (Manu) and I am the first son.” He takes birth through her.
Dasharath is happy beyond words. He asks court-swami about name who says ‘Raam’ (or Rama) is the best name possible.
Kaikeyi’s midwife (KM) Manthara prepares specialties for kaikeyi, who asks it to be shared with her co-sisters Sumi and Kau. KM is reluctant as KM wants Kaikeyi to get the best of best. Kaikeyi comes to know about the birth of Raam and is much excited to see the baby, but KM downplays her, in vain. KM wants the best for kaikeyi and she is willing to go to any lengths to achieve this.
Everyone visits Ram and says “My Ram.” So Kau accepts defeat and says “One who says ‘My Ram’, Ram is theirs.” Shiv and wife, Brahma and wife, Indra and Co descend upon earth in disguise and visit Ram and shower (rather seek) blessings on (from) him. They say he is gonna be the ideal “Man” on this Earth, with right virtues and values. Dasharath is over pleased.
Meanwhile child is born to Kaikeyi too and 2 to Sumithra. KM wants KK (Kaikeyi)’s son to be ruler, but court-swamy says he will be a good sevak (servant), much to her chagrin. Now Kau says “My son” to KK’s child.
Resultant of payasam drinking, Rama is born to Kausalya, Bharath is born to Kaikeyi and Lakshmana and Shatrugna are born to Sumithra (who drank 2 payasams). Bharath is nothing but an instance of Rama who is an instance of Vishnu Himself. Rama has taken birth as a manav to teach ‘lifehood’ to humans.
